In order to stock our shelves with high-quality, small-production libations, it's necessary that two types of folks exist: dedicated craftspeople hell-bent on making their goods, and fierce suppliers committed to making those goods available.
Chicago-based Letherbee Distillers are all about authenticity. They're on tour right now with the annual release of their Vernal Gin. We're lucky enough to host them for a special tasting - of said gin and god knows what else - on Wednesday evening.
These guys bring a party everywhere they go. So while we're not sure exactly what they have in store (fernet cocktails?), we know we're going to have a damn good time!

Thursday we host Grand Cru Selections, one of the great small portfolios now supplying handcrafted wines to Nashville. This isn't a gimmick! Importers like Grand Cru Selections risk it all in order to bring terroir-driven, small-production wine to boutique shops like ours. Without them, we could not do what we do.
The preliminary lineup of wines Jay Latham will be pouring is nothing short of phenomenal. I won't be able to attend this one, and I have to say: as I write this email, I am deeply regretting that fact.
