Vermouth is back and crushable as ever. In Spain they celebrate la hora del vermut, dropping by the neighborhood bodega for a splash of cold, sweet aromatized wine. In Italy they take it slow, kicking back on the veranda. Saturday we’re pouring two red vermouths and one white, each produced in accordance with an old family recipe. After tasting through, we’ll stir you up a little mixture of vermouth and soda, with a citrus twist. It’s how the locals drink it.
