This weekend, whether you're celebrating Easter, Passover, or just the fact that it's not raining anymore, you'll want to stop by the shop and check out the nervy lineup we've put together.
Leading off is a sauvignon blanc from the unsung Loire Valley appellation of Menetou-Salon. Sharing a similar chalky soil composition with Sancerre, Chablis, & Champagne, the Domaine Philippe Gilbert is understated with a mineral core and savory notes of earthy mushroom.
Batting second - not merely advancing the tasting along, but holding its own - is the fan-favorite Ameztoi Rubentis, a slightly effervescent rosé from the Basque Country of Spain. This racy Txakolina is sneaky quick with lightning pop.
Cleaning up the tasting is an absolute stud. Anytime a bottle of Lapierre is open it's worth stopping by to see the cru Beaujolais in action. The Juliénas is no exception. Rich & full with smoky minerality and notes of spice & red fruit, this gamay is Hall of Fame material.
Oh yeah, it's also baseball season.
