This weekend, in celebration of all the hard work you've put in over the last year, we're opening a couple special bottles and selling them for a special price.
Aubert de Villaine is heir to one of the most prestigious wine legacies of Burgundy. In the 1970s he and his wife sought a home in Bouzeron where they could practice making wine without the pressures of an international reputation. Today the Villaines farm three parcels in Côte Chalonnaise where they are certified organic and produce stunning wines that express the complex terroir. This bottle typically goes for upwards of $50 but we're currently selling it for $28.
In addition to the chardonnay from Domaine de Villaine, we're opening a gamay from Morgon producer Guy Breton. An original member of the Gang of Four, Breton has helped re-raise Beaujolais' status by returning to traditional practices in the cellar and refusing to use synthetic herbicides and pesticides in the vineyards. His wines are light spicy and loaded with schist minerals. We've knocked the price down from $33 to $26
