On Monday, June 25 we're taking over the Public House where at 5pm the doors will open for a night of natural wine, snacks, & revelry. All for $30.
Pet-Nat - short for pétillant-naturel - is a natural method of producing bubbly where the juice undergoes one interrupted fermentation (first in tank, then in bottle) instead of one complete fermentation in tank followed by a second - jump-started by the addition of sugar - in bottle.
Although the method has been around for centuries in regions such as the Veneto (where Prosecco is produced), pet-nat is just recently reaching the American consciousness as a trendy, natural alternative to méthode traditionnelle. At Pet-Nat Party we'll be pouring several slightly bubbly wines from the world round.
Pet-Nat Party is a ticketed event, and to insure that the setting feels intimate, we're capping it at 50 heads. Since the Public House is closed to the general public on Mondays, access to the space will be exclusive to those who purchase a ticket.
